Draft Minutes 5.11.25

NOTES of the Hougham Parish Council meeting held on Wednesday 5th November at 7.45 pm in Hougham and Marston Village Hall.
Present: Cllr John Wright (in the Chair), Cllrs Peter Baker and Jo Wright.  There were no members of the public present.
Cllr Bamford had circulated his Newsletter prior to the meeting.  
30/25. Apologies – Cllrs McAllister and Forbes, C/C Bamford and D/C Wood.  It was resolved to accept the reasons given for absence.
 
31/25. There were no declarations of interest.
 
32/25. The Minutes of the meeting held on 10th September had been read and approved and it
was unanimously agreed that the Chair should sign them.
 
33/25. Planning matters:  S24/2190 – new agricultural workers building at land within Grange Farm – pending consideration. 
34/25.  Highway matters – the drain cover at the village Green has been repaired but they still haven’t done the one near Keepers Cottage – clerk to chase and include a new photo.
35/25 – Still no invoice for our share of car park repairs at Village Hall.
36/25 Financial matters –
Resolved to sign bank reconciliation at 30.9.25.   The balance at 30.9.25 was £8,379.90.
It was resolved to make a donation to LIVES for £50 during their 2025 Christmas Big Give Challenge.
The proposal for our 2026-7 precept had been circulated prior to the meeting.  There was projected income of £225 and
projected expenditure of £4510 and it was agreed to keep the precept the same as the current year at £4510.
 
37/25 – Councillors matters: Check whether we have to have our meetings at 7.45 as there was nobody in the hall at 7.30.  Dates for 2026 meetings were circulated by the Clerk.
 
38/25.  Next meeting – 4th February 2026 at 7.30 (tbc)
