Minutes 27.7.22

NOTES  of the Hougham Parish Council meeting held on Wednesday 27th July  2022 at 7.30 pm in Hougham and Marston Village Hall.
 
Present: Cllr John Wright (in the Chair), Cllrs P McAllister and Jo Wright.  There were no members of the public present.  
 
12/22.  Apologies had been received from Cllrs Chalklin and Forbes, and Cty Cllr Maughan.
13/22.  There were no declarations of interest.
14/22. The Minutes of the meetings held on 11th May 2022 had been read and approved and it was unanimously agreed that the Chair should sign them.
15/22.  Planning matters:  
  S22/0042 – 5 holiday pods at former station yard – approved.
S22/0576 – Varying conditions 2 and 3 at Grant Farm Barns -  approved.
S22/0602 – extensions and conversion at Millpool Cottage – approved.
 
16/22.  Highways – the request for a reduction in speed to 40 mph on the C001 between the railway bridge and Gelston Road has been added to the list but the list is considerable and it will be some time before an officer is assigned.  The result of the Archer Survey on Main Street shows that the criteria does not meet the requirements for a fixed or mobile speed camera.  Result to go on HAMES.
 
17/22 – Defibrillator – Cllr Chalklin is looking into the cost of training and is involving Marston PC too.
 
18/22 – Cllr Maughan had sent his report by email, prior to this meeting.
 
19/22 Financial matters -  
[a]  Resolved to sign bank reconciliations at 31.5.22 and 30.6.22.
[b]  Noted that our Eon account for the phone box is £2.14 in credit.
 
20/22. Procedural documents reviewed – all ok.  However Clerk advised that there is an updated Code of Conduct which she will circulate in readiness for acceptance at our November meeting.
 
21/22 - Correspondence – There is none.  Noted that a hole round the new telegraph pole on The Green has been filled in.  The new noticeboard is with the Chair and he will arrange installation.
 
22/22. Next meeting will be 9th November 2022 at 7.30 pm.
